  1. Refresh Buttons: Difference between "Refreshing All Studies/Portfolios" and "Refreshing Individual Studies"

When the user Refreshes "All Studies" or "Portfolios", locked data is not touched.

However, when the user Refreshes "Individual Studies" there are two "Overwrite" options and one "Create A Copy" button.

Is it correct to assume that "Overwrite" means Overwrite....including eliminating/overwriting the Locked data?

And, when choosing the "Create a Copy", doesn't that also overwrite locked data, update the data.... and create a copy?

Also: Date Modified column: Gives the date that the user Refreshed either the price or price and data. How can the user tell which companies fundamental data were refreshed? Not all companies release quarterly data on…

  3. PERT mouse-over popups

    • On the PERT report use mouse-over popup help text to describe each column header and it's derivation eg when mousing over 'Proj RV' - popup 'Projected Relative Value = Proj PE / Avg PE (Projected)'

    • On PERT report, when hovering over a colored cell use popup help text to describe the condition that triggered the colorization event.

  4. Pop-Up window showing math calculation when moving cursor over a particular field.

Although there is a separate pdf showing the math calculations used behind the scenes in an SSG, a simple pop-up reflecting the math would be faster and more efficient.

  6. Debt label on SCG Stock Comparison Guide

I personally would like to see the last year of Debt % Equity on the Stock Comparison Guide (SCG), rather than a 5-year average. Either way, the label should identify what period the number is for (like PTP and % Earned on Equity are labeled as a 5-year average).

  7. Integrate more of the info in the "SSG Reference Guide" into the Core SSG tutorial information.

Consolidate all guidelines into one area so folks don't have to go between a paper reminder and what's online in the tool

  8. SSGPlus Search return result fields for Sales/Earnings not consistent

The Sale & Earnings growth figures in the "search results" for some companies are not consistent with the SSG. For example, stock symbol MOS (Mosaic) shows:
    Sales = 56.3 & Earnings = 8.6 from the Search results
    Sales = 2.6 & Earnings = 3.8 on the SSGPlus

There are others with just a discrepancy in Earnings.

  9. Error in Adding long named file to Portfolio

If a study is saved with a long file name adding it to a Portfolio is a problem. Cant easily get to the check box.

To solve this the dialog box must be horizontally scrollable or the file name needs to be truncated or the dialog box needs to be resizable.
Simplest to to truncate long file names in this dialog box

  10. Add a sorting indicator on the PDF copy of the PERT report

The PDF copy of the PERT report does not indicate what column the report is sorted on, nor the sorting order. Could something be added to a header or footer that shows what column the report is sorted on, and in what order?

  11. Make labels more descriptive

It would be helpful if some of the labels were updated to make them more descriptive, so we don't have to guess or reverse engineer the numbers to figure them out.

For example: in the Fundamental Company Data section, user has no way of knowing just by looking at the table if the column labeled "Forecast (%)" is an annual forecast or is it the forecast for 5 years in total?

In section 3, it says "High this year" and "Low this year". Does that mean the calendar year, or is it a TTM time period? (plus it would be…

  12. Add ability to input prior quarter or year when data is missing from data feed.

1st Quarter of 2016 data for Flowers Foods is missing. I have contacted both BI (June 6) and Morningstar (June 22, July 31, and August 16) to have the data added. It is still not in the data feed and I cannot add a prior quarter of data to the SSG manually to include the missing data.

  13. Create a new report to show user judgment (forecast) reference points

The report could be printed alone or with the SSG PDF and would show similar information as the 4 judgment/forecast pop-up windows in order to provide a reference of what was chosen and the other reference points that were displayed at that point in time.

  14. Suggest only One Tool

I know way to much energy explaining the difference and frankly the difference is not worth the time and effort spent. May I recommend that there be only one tool that is continually improved. Perhaps there is 2 modes expert and newbie.

  15. I understand the SSGs are for finding stocks that fit the BI criteria. What if we could enter the price we paid for a stock to evaluate it

I understand the SSGs are for finding stocks that fit the BI criteria. What if we could enter the price we paid for a stock to evaluate it going forward. The BUYs HOLDs SELLs are based on the current price, right? If we paid more than the current price, the SSG does't show us the potential in our owned stock. Right?

  18. Add the ability to evaluate Dow Jones, S&P and NASDAQ averages

These averages have prices, EPS and dividends. Section 1 plot would not have a sales line but would have EPS line with a projection and price bars. Section 3 would have prices, EPS, P/E ratios, dividends, yields and could have projected highs and lows. We need the ability to evaluate the market as well as individual stocks.

  19. Display the average price for a stock, graphically, and include it on the front page of the SSG along with sales, pretax profits and earning

In addition, or instead of, having vertical price bars, showing high and low for a given year, show the average price as a graph line. It would be nice to see how the price moved along with the sales, earnings, etc graphically
