How can we improve our Stock Selection Guide Tools?

  1. Add Radio buttons to speed up entry of PEs, Growth Rate Forcast, etc

    There are several popups that could have Radio buttons to assist in the selection of values. For example, the "Determine High Price - Next 5 years" popup,has 3 options: high, avg or current PE. Radio buttons here would really help.

    Another is the Determine sales 5 year sales popup.

  2. Clean up the PDF feature for PERT.

    PERT in PDF format has no colors, cannot be sorted, has no header on the second and following pages, column widths are too small to display data correctly, percent sign usage is inconsistent (% should be eliminated), company name does not need to appear twice, and a fixed two or three line box for each equity would improve readability

  3. Allow clock/time for stock creations & modifications to reflect subscriber's time zone

    Please allow the time clock under the columns "Date Created" "Date Modified" to reflect the subscriber's time zone. I am in the Pacific Time zone & the clock is set for the Eastern Time Zone.

  4. Add the ability to produce a Portfolio Trend report

    Add a Portfolio Trend Report as an option in SSGPlus portfolio reporting - similar to the report in Toolkit 6.

  5. Allow changing the data in the estimated EPS column on the PERT form.

    Allow changing the data to the analyst's or company's estimated EPS for the upcoming year on the PERT form, like in Toolkit 6. PERT looks great. Thanks for all the hard work.

  6. Add Stock Analyst Balance Sheet Analysis

    Stock Analyst has the page to analyze the change in Balance Sheet items to evaluate whether Sales is growing faster than AR, and current ratio and plant turnover ration

  7. ROE should be based on start of year equity

    Current SSGPlus uses end of year equity vice start. This distorts the intended relationship of the metric for our analyses and in some cases leads to wrong inferences re management effectiveness.

  8. For peer comparisons link average for peers linked to target company outlier selection

    When reducing from 10 to 5 years the growth rate for the target company is recomputed to the 5 year average. When you display the peer performance for the same metric the averages are not recomputed to show the 5 year period, stays on the 10 year average.

  9. Notes: Allow the notes window to be drug into an area out of view of the working area and allow notes to be sorted

  10. Improved the readability / layout of the Valuation and Return Page (Page 2, back side)

    Provide better visual cues, break up the sections with dividers, apply color blocks, consider increase in font especially in sections 4 and 5.

  11. Include in SSGPlus report printout the info that is on the page 2 screen on target price that meets both MARR = 15% and USD 3.0:1

    Good addition to the SSG, needs to be on the printout. Currently I have to cut/paste into notes.

  16. outliner in section 3 column d and e - Price Earning Ratio outliners. Its looks like a blank cell.

    D and E Price Earning Ratio.
    In Adobe Reader, you can see a faint number in the cell if it is a outliner, but when you print, it looks like a blank cell. I looked again in bright sunlight and I can see then it was not a blank cell. I think the color need to be 1 or 2 shades of gray brighter, or can we have a outliner line across the cell with the P/E data. It took extra time to go back to find the number during our club discussion.

  17. Section 4b ..selection option of a, or b, or c, or d....can the selection be highlighted or bold?

    Currently when I selected option d ( Price Dividend Support) as the low price. Is there someway to highlight the selection or grayout the others?

    also, unable to change selection 4A, when we tried to change the high earnings shares (i.e, typed in $6.50 and clicked on update study....the entry changes to $6.40)....calculation error???

  19. Be able to set target buy price based on PAR in addition to TR

    Add to existing "SSG Results Summary", just above the "Closing Price" line, a section that computes "Buy price to satisfy US/DS of 3 to 1 and <variable target return that can be entered> on projected average return.

  20. Add ability to assign stock study to a portfolio and add # shares etc while in study mode.

    Annoying to hjave to go into file manager to assign stock study to portfolio. Should have multiple access points within program to add this info.
