  2. Match target return to company size automatically and also provide a way to override the values.

Instead of using a 15% target return for every stock, reduce the target return to the level appropriate to the company size. A medium size company would have a target return of 12%, etc. This might help newbies realize that 15% growth is not necessarily realistic for large companies. Also, could help get users looking at the return of their entire porfolio.

  3. Section 4b ..selection option of a, or b, or c, or d....can the selection be highlighted or bold?

Currently when I selected option d ( Price Dividend Support) as the low price. Is there someway to highlight the selection or grayout the others?

also, unable to change selection 4A, when we tried to change the high earnings shares (i.e, typed in $6.50 and clicked on update study....the entry changes to $6.40)....calculation error???

  4. outliner in section 3 column d and e - Price Earning Ratio outliners. Its looks like a blank cell.

    Outliner on section 3 columns
D and E Price Earning Ratio.
In Adobe Reader, you can see a faint number in the cell if it is a outliner, but when you print, it looks like a blank cell. I looked again in bright sunlight and I can see then it was not a blank cell. I think the color need to be 1 or 2 shades of gray brighter, or can we have a outliner line across the cell with the P/E data. It took extra time to go back to find the number during our club discussion.

  9. For peer comparisons link average for peers linked to target company outlier selection

When reducing from 10 to 5 years the growth rate for the target company is recomputed to the 5 year average. When you display the peer performance for the same metric the averages are not recomputed to show the 5 year period, stays on the 10 year average.

  10. Allow changing the data in the estimated EPS column on the PERT form.

Allow changing the data to the analyst's or company's estimated EPS for the upcoming year on the PERT form, like in Toolkit 6. PERT looks great. Thanks for all the hard work.

  11. Add Radio buttons to speed up entry of PEs, Growth Rate Forcast, etc

There are several popups that could have Radio buttons to assist in the selection of values. For example, the "Determine High Price - Next 5 years" popup, has 3 options: high, avg or current PE. Radio buttons here would really help.

Another is the Determine sales 5 year sales popup.

    Cheers
    Eddie

  15. Add a sorting indicator on the PDF copy of the PERT report

The PDF copy of the PERT report does not indicate what column the report is sorted on, nor the sorting order. Could something be added to a header or footer that shows what column the report is sorted on, and in what order?

  16. Refresh Buttons: Difference between "Refreshing All Studies/Portfolios" and "Refreshing Individual Studies"

When the user Refreshes "All Studies" or "Portfolios", locked data is not touched.

However, when the user Refreshes "Individual Studies" there are two "Overwrite" options and one "Create A Copy" button.

Is it correct to assume that "Overwrite" means Overwrite....including eliminating/overwriting the Locked data?

And, when choosing the "Create a Copy", doesn't that also overwrite locked data, update the data.... and create a copy?

Also: Date Modified column: Gives the date that the user Refreshed either the price or price and data. How can the user tell which companies fundamental data were refreshed? Not all companies release quarterly data on…

  17. Enable Quarterly Data Charting:

Make better use of the “Quarterly Data” tab. I use it regularly, but it is difficult to spot trends in the data without charting it. Being able to download it into Excel would suit my personal needs. Being able to select the data you want to chart and then click a button and have the chart appear would be great. The ultimate would be to be able to do both.

  18. Add quarterly data to book values for banks.

Otherwise we are working with old Q data for book value and current Q data for the other info. We can go to the banks reports for this info but since Mstar likely already has it in their data banks they should be able to add it and save us the extra work.

  20. Instead of using the estimated future high PE, using the estimated future average PE would provide a more realistic expected total return

Our club uses the expected average PE and resulting return in deciding on whether to buy . It would be helpful to continue noting that in a form comparing all stock owned.
