Decades ago, I believe in Toolkit, you could use current holding, Stock A, enter purchase price, date, current price and date (allowing capital gain calculation if sold), plus your current total tax bracket. THEN Challenge Stock A, taking after tax proceeds and compare to new Stock B... to see projected return 3-5 years later.
This was EXCELLENT so you can see if just holding Stock A, including unrealized gains, is actually superior to selling A and buying Stock B with after tax amount left.7 votes -
Add button to delete multiple (or all) sets of saved SCG
I use SCG's a lot. Over time I have dozens of old SCG's that I no longer want to keep. It is a pain to delete one at a time.

Allow more than 5 companies to be compared with the Stock Comparison Guide
I find limiting the number of stocks to just 5 to be too small. I would like to compare up to about 15 stocks, say our complete stock portfolio.

Add multiple 'User Defined' fields/rows to the the Stock Comparison Guide
Allow the user to define a new row in the SCG where they would add a user defined title for the field and then for each company/SSG would have the ability to add text for that field.
The user would then be able to highlight the cell for the information/metrics that are preferable and the cell highlighting would be included in the sum of all highlights at the top of the SCG page.
The example here would be some industry specific metric or financial ratio that is important for the company or industry.0 votes -
Debt label on SCG Stock Comparison Guide
I personally would like to see the last year of Debt % Equity on the Stock Comparison Guide (SCG), rather than a 5-year average. Either way, the label should identify what period the number is for (like PTP and % Earned on Equity are labeled as a 5-year average).

Graphical Stock Comparisons
Would be nice to be able compare two or more companies graphically for their stock performance for a given time horizon, say 1, 2, 3 or 5 years. (A picture is worth a thousand words).
3 votesEvaluating a company strictly on price performance is not the primary purpose of the tool and there are many sites that do this already. We suggest checking out the ‘Price Charts’ research links in the tool.

Include more data on Stock Comparison Guide Report
Replace many of the P/E lines with the ratios that are currently choices in the user choice lines. Add a return on capital ratio.
