  1. add the ability to see the daily fluctuation in Upside/Downside ratio without rerunning the study

When I open Toolkit - after I refresh stock prices, I can immediately see the changes in Upside/downside ratio. this functionality is critical to the tool and I would like to see this replicated online.

    Hi,
The upside/downside ratio is immediately updated after prices are updated/refreshed. The prices can be updated by individual study or by portfolio from the ‘My Studies’ page.
The updated upside/downside ratio is shown in the study as well as the applicable portfolio reports.

You can update all studies in the account by clicking on the ‘Portfolios’ bar on the ‘My Studies’ screen then looking for the ‘All Studies’ row and clicking on the Refresh (circular) icon to refresh/update the data in all studies.
You also have the ability to update all studies in a single user-defined portfolio in a similar manner.
    Regards,
    BetterInvesting

  7. Allow the ability to update all relevant studies as a group rather than one at a time

It is time consuming and annoying to have to update all stocks for a club meeting one at a time. This should be changed to allow one step updating.

Thanks for submitting and voting on this feature! It can now be accomplished by setting up a portfolio, adding the relevant stocks and then you can update the SSGs (either just prices or price and data) as a group. See the Portfolio Quick Start Guide available from the tools ‘Help and Information’ Tab for more information.

  9. Movable graph lines

Allow the user to select and move any graph line on the main graph up or down. Have the application save the desired placement so it is redisplayed in the preferred location when the SSG is re-opened.

  11. Adding Return on Assets as an “Evaluate Management” metric when studying bank stocks

According to many resources, Return on Assets (ROA) is one of the best ways to evaluate profitability of a bank. %Pre-tax Profit on Sales is less useful when evaluating a bank, so I would suggest replacing that line with ROA for banks.

The calculation is done in one of 2 ways:
Return on Total Assets (ROTA) = CY Net Profit / CY Total Assets
Return on Average Assets (ROAA) = CY Net Profit / ((CY Total Assets + PY Total Assets)/2)

Where CY = current year; PY = previous year

Both are used. ROTA would result in a more conservative…

  20. Under research tab have the sites grouped by type of information being sought.

    For example:
    Research (the heading tab)
    EPS estimates
----------------- Yahoo (linked to section with EPS estimates)
    ----------------- Reuter (etc)
    Competitors
----------------- Yahoo (linked to section with EPS estimates)

This would serve to prompt the analyst to go to the better sites to consistently get quality information on the topic of interest.
