  1. Revise the layout of the "Determine Low Price - Next 5-Years" window

The top choice "Your Low Stock Price Forecast" should be the last choice instead of the first. Users are prone to complete this and ignore the remaining options. If the 2nd choice , Low PE area is not completed, the Total Return using the Average PE in Section 5 can adversely be affected. Additionally, add "Update" to the the TTM EPS in the second area.
A better title for the field may be "Determine Low P/E and Selected Low Price". See the attached for a layout suggestion.

  2. Exclude outlier data from Compare Peers page

When using the Compare Peers page, a very high outlier data point can force all the other data to be squished at the bottom of the graph. For example, if I compare GOOG and FB high PEs, the FB 2013 PE of 4500 causes the graph to scale the PEs to the range of 4500. This makes the rest of the graphed data useless to view.
It would be nice to exclude FB's 4500 high PE point from the graph.

  3. Adding to the Notes section of SSG

would like to use snipping tool or directing paste in a excel or work table into the notes. I like to show what other analyst are estimating and caption that info in a spreadsheet. Any possible way to do this

  4. When data is changed, keep that data Highlighted

When I unlock and change quarterly, or annual data, keep that data cell highlighted so it can be easily identified when reviewing the data later on.

  5. Enhance the Notes Table in SSG Plus to show the notes with new-lines and spacing as formatted when entered.

One issue I have with the site is that the notes are very hard to read. Would it be possible for you to add some code that provided the same "new-line" and "space" formatting as was entered in the table of notes in SSG?
(Please note that I realize that the note is displayed correctly in the pop-up box if I click on the note in the table)

Here is an example of what I am talking about. I would prefer that notes in the notes table appeared as I entered the note.

Here is how the text appears in…

  7. Current Assets vs. Current Liabilities

Are you able to include the CA vs CL ratios to the Ratios Tab?

  9. Add a projected sales growth column to the SSGPlus PERT

It would be helpful to have a new column for projected sales growth in the PERT. This would make it easier to compare the last reported quarter's "Sales % Change" column against each company's projected sales growth rate (as entered on the SSG). The PERT already has this capability for actual quarterly YOY and forecasted EPS growth rates.

  11. Enable Quarterly Data Charting:

Make better use of the “Quarterly Data” tab. I use it regularly, but it is difficult to spot trends in the data without charting it. Being able to download it into Excel would suit my personal needs. Being able to select the data you want to chart and then click a button and have the chart appear would be great. The ultimate would be to be able to do both.

  12. Re-think Debt to Capital Ratio

Re-think the use of the Debt to Capital Ratio (D/C). Most members don’t understand what capital is. I have always assumed it is a measure of the financial strength of a company. If that’s the case, the ratio ignores the ability of the company to service its debt and its available cash, equivalents and marketable securities. Either make a strong argument for retaining the ratio, or consider other measures of the financial strength of companies in general. Consider using the Debt to Equity Ratio (D/E) or Interest Coverage (or “Times Interest Earned”) as a means to measure the financial strength…

  13. Number the Vertical Axis and Add Constant Compound Percent Growth Lines to the SSG Plus

Number the Vertical Axis and Add Constant Compound Percent Growth Lines to the SSG Plus

Number the vertical log axis and include constant compound growth lines on the visual analysis chart beginning at the origin of the chart and running across the chart.

    • The vertical (log) axis appears to be auto ranging. While that’s understandable, the decision to make it auto ranging carries with it the disadvantages of disguising what the growth rates of companies are. Two companies that look similar on the charts may be growing at significantly different rates.

    • Numbers on the log axis, would enable…

  14. Refresh Buttons: Difference between "Refreshing All Studies/Portfolios" and "Refreshing Individual Studies"

When the user Refreshes "All Studies" or "Portfolios", locked data is not touched.

However, when the user Refreshes "Individual Studies" there are two "Overwrite" options and one "Create A Copy" button.

Is it correct to assume that "Overwrite" means Overwrite....including eliminating/overwriting the Locked data?

And, when choosing the "Create a Copy", doesn't that also overwrite locked data, update the data.... and create a copy?

Also: Date Modified column: Gives the date that the user Refreshed either the price or price and data. How can the user tell which companies fundamental data were refreshed? Not all companies release quarterly data on…

  16. PERT mouse-over popups

    - On the PERT report use mouse-over popup help text to describe each column header and it's derivation eg when mousing over 'Proj RV' - popup 'Projected Relative Value = Proj PE / Avg PE (Projected)'

    - On PERT report, when hovering over a colored cell use popup help text to describe the condition that triggered the colorization event.

  18. Add a sorting indicator on the PDF copy of the PERT report

The PDF copy of the PERT report does not indicate what column the report is sorted on, nor the sorting order. Could something be added to a header or footer that shows what column the report is sorted on, and in what order?

  19. Date stamp for SSG study date/update.

Add a date stamp to portfolio display that shows when I last updated an SSG study, i.e. change judgement, so that I know how old my study is. The current Modified Date changes with price and data updates and does not reflect when I last studied the SSG.

  20. Show which companies have new data since my last data update.

One helpful feature of Toolkit 6 is that it shows which companies have updated data since my last data update, i.e. companies that have had quarterly earnings releases. That indicates which companies I need to re-study. Otherwise, it is not evident which companies need re-study.
