Add Button for 80% of Current Price
I use the 80% of current price for my low price selection. I would like to have a button to select the 80% of current price like Toolkit does and have it update the low price on the SSG each time the price update changes on the stock.
4 votesWe have not added a button or radio button for the 80% of the current price. We feel this is more of a reference check on the low price and shouldn't be automatically chosen. We have included '80% of the current price' as a reference value in the first low price option.

Like the Tools link from BI Home to the SSG site, it would be most helpful to add a link from the SSG site to the Home page.

Under the Research/BetterInvesting/Member Sentiment Tab: set the "Average" row to be viewable without having to scroll to the bottom of page. So, if, for example, only the top ten forecasts were selected, the average would show without scrolling; or if all forecasts were selected, the average would show without scrolling.
31 votesWith the March 2023 updates, the averages are at the top of the page and you no longer need to scroll to the bottom of the raw data to see the average (mean).

Why does earnings & EPS shown on SSG not jive up with Etrade and other publications
Why does earnings & EPS and other data on SSG not jive up with that published on Etrade and else where?
1 voteThe earnings (EPS) that are used in the tools and stock data service are ‘Diluted EPS from Continuing Operations’.
There are the earnings from the GAAP definition of continuing operations divided by the common shares outstanding adjusted for the assumed conversion of all potentially dilutive securities. Securities having a dilutive effect may include convertible debentures, warrants, options, and convertible preferred stock.
These earnings are traceable back to the company’s official filing (10-Q, 10-K, 20-F) on the SEC website at http://www.sec.gov
Other financial resources may present different variations on earnings.

Stock Ideas List not accessible from Home
The Stock Ideas List is accessible from the SSG, SCG Screens. Why not also from Home? After I've logged in, why do I have to go from Home into an SSG or SCG, or some other screen first, in order to get to the magnifying glass link to do a Stock Search?
Why not include it in the On-line Tools block on the right side of the Home page? Don't think it would clutter up the block all that much more.4 votesThe screening link is now linked using the ‘magnifying glass’ icon in the online tools block on the member home page.

Revise the layout of the "Determine Low Price - Next 5-Years" window
The top choice "Your Low Stock Price Forecast" should be the last choice instead of the first. Users are prone to complete this and ignore the remaining options. If the 2nd choice , Low PE area is not completed, the Total Return using the Average PE in Section 5 can adversely be affected. Additionally, add "Update" to the the TTM EPS in the second area.
A better title for the field may be "Determine Low P/E and Selected Low Price". See the attached for a layout suggestion.33 votesThis was completed in April 2024.

Company search add checkbox
I’m looking at the Company Search section (via Core/Plus SSG), and I wish there was a checkbox or something on each stock when I’m going thru the Data Preview popup, for selecting out items I might be interested in looking further into - narrowing the list, as it were.
Yes, I can write down the ticker of each interesting stock, but if I could checkbox each one, and then only Company Search look at those, and refine the list further (by unchecking some), would sure be helpful.
Not sure how persistent I would want the checkboxes to be, wouldn’t want…1 vote -

Re-think Debt to Capital Ratio
Re-think the use of the Debt to Capital Ratio (D/C). Most members don’t understand what capital is. I have always assumed it is a measure of the financial strength of a company. If that’s the case, the ratio ignores the ability of the company to service its debt and its available cash, equivalents and marketable securities. Either make a strong argument for retaining the ratio, or consider other measures of the financial strength of companies in general. Consider using the Debt to Equity Ratio (D/E) or Interest Coverage (or “Times Interest Earned”) as a means to measure the financial strength…

Member sentiment report
When utilizing the member sentiment I often find variable number of judgments that are clearly outliers. Recently in SBUX I saw a High PE's of 1582, a number of Payouts above 1500 (yes 1500), and a number of low PE's over 900. the unedited averages were High PE 45.8, Lo PE 163.9, payout of 876, with a potential return of 43.8. Really?
With 493 studies (could these really be called studies?) it is very labor intensive to go through the studies line by line to remove the outliers. There must be a way to throw out judgements that vary to…

Allow the user to select either % high total return or % average total return for reports
In the report summary allow the user to select either the compound total return using the high PE OR the CTR using the average PE.
