Add Button for 80% of Current Price
I use the 80% of current price for my low price selection. I would like to have a button to select the 80% of current price like Toolkit does and have it update the low price on the SSG each time the price update changes on the stock.
4 votesWe have not added a button or radio button for the 80% of the current price. We feel this is more of a reference check on the low price and shouldn't be automatically chosen. We have included '80% of the current price' as a reference value in the first low price option.

Add a way to identify portfolio companies in SSGPlus who have had recent earning reports so those companies can be updated.
For new information on companies.
32 votesIn the SSG study and in the My Studies List, the 'Last Quarter Date' is highlighted in red text when newer data exists for a study.

Revise the layout of the "Determine Low Price - Next 5-Years" window
The top choice "Your Low Stock Price Forecast" should be the last choice instead of the first. Users are prone to complete this and ignore the remaining options. If the 2nd choice , Low PE area is not completed, the Total Return using the Average PE in Section 5 can adversely be affected. Additionally, add "Update" to the the TTM EPS in the second area.
A better title for the field may be "Determine Low P/E and Selected Low Price". See the attached for a layout suggestion.33 votesThis was completed in April 2024.

Relative value, PEG and Projected P/E ratio were added in the ‘Ratios’ tab of SSGPlus.

Re-think Debt to Capital Ratio
Re-think the use of the Debt to Capital Ratio (D/C). Most members don’t understand what capital is. I have always assumed it is a measure of the financial strength of a company. If that’s the case, the ratio ignores the ability of the company to service its debt and its available cash, equivalents and marketable securities. Either make a strong argument for retaining the ratio, or consider other measures of the financial strength of companies in general. Consider using the Debt to Equity Ratio (D/E) or Interest Coverage (or “Times Interest Earned”) as a means to measure the financial strength…

Quarterly Data
Limit the Quarterly Data X-axis scale to 50% so the plots will not be compressed, making judgements near 10% data difficult.
1 voteHi,
There is an option to restrict the Y axis (height) scale to 50%. It is called ‘Limit 50% Growth’. The X axis can be set to show 5 years or 10 years of data.

Date stamp for SSG study date/update.
Add a date stamp to portfolio display that shows when I last updated an SSG study, i.e. change judgement, so that I know how old my study is. The current Modified Date changes with price and data updates and does not reflect when I last studied the SSG.
6 votesThe study now shows four dates; create date, modified date, price date and last judgment date. Timestamps on the dates have been removed to create space.

Show which companies have new data since my last data update.
One helpful feature of Toolkit 6 is that it shows which companies have updated data since my last data update, i.e. companies that have had quarterly earnings releases. That indicates which companies I need to re-study. Otherwise, it is not evident which companies need re-study.
32 votesOn the SSG the quarterly date will turn red if there is more current data available. In My Studies, the Last Quarter Date will turn red if there is more current data available.

Enhance PDFs to show all plots.
When I make a PDF to print or share, extra plots, such as dividends or shares outstanding, are eliminated. It would be greatly beneficial to maintain all plots and their positional relationships as I have them in the SSG Plus graph.

Allowing locking of data on an SSG.
Allowing locking of data on an SSG to prevent accidental updates if more than 1 SSG on a company. Some keep a separate SSG for each addl buy of a co. Locking would prevent accidental updating of that SSG.
2 votesUser entered data is now locked on a row-by-row basis.
We advise that all ‘non-changed’ data is kept unlocked so it is automatically updated (upon a user initiated refresh/update) in the case of a stock split.

Add to Section 3 the Average P/E Ratio, Current P/E Ratio, Relative Value, Projected P/E Ratio, PEGY Ratio, Projected Relative Value
Add to Section 3 the Average P/E Ratio, Current P/E Ratio, Relative Value, Projected P/E Ratio, PEGY Ratio, Projected Relative Value, TTM EPS, FTM EPS and Avg TTM + FTM EPS similar to Section 3 of Toolkit 6. When using SSGPlus I have to always access my Toolkit 6 program to view these items in TK6 Section 3 as I have not yet found an equivalent in SSGPlus.
23 votesAverage P/E ratio, current P/E ratio, TTM EPS have been in SSGPlus section 3 since launch.
Relative value, PEG and Projected P/E ratio were added in the ‘Ratios’ tab of SSGPlus.
This issue is now closed.

On the 'Compare Peers' page, legend/graph colors should be consistent from one tab to the next
When moving from one tab to the next on the comparing peers screen it would be a lot easier if the graphs for each of the peers was always the same color.

In SSG Pro, like in Core, allow user to see 10 year history of high and low PEs
10 year history on PEs

Put a line under Section 3 that will give the RV and the Projected PEG (Current PE/ Est EPS Growth Rate).
Please put a line under the SSG Plus Section 3 that will give the RV calculated as (Current PE/5-Yr Avg PE) and the Projected PEG calculated as (Current PE/ Est EPS Growth Rate). These are very important valuation measures.
Relative Value according to my old Stock Analyst manuals:
" Good value is present when the current P/E is less than the historical average P/E ratio. This is measured by dividing the current P/E by the average P/E (x 100) to produce a figure called the Relative Value...This is the best overall measure of the reasonableness of a current P/E multiple...Relative…19 votesRelative value and PEG are now available and located on the ‘Ratios’ tab.

Add "Prices current as of xx/xx/xx" to top of section 3
At the top of Section 3, there is plenty of room on the top line that displays the stock prices. How about adding "Prices current as of: xx/xx/xx". When working on an older study, the original date is shown in the title bar, so it's not necessarily clear that the prices displayed at the top of section 3 are more current than the Study Name/Date.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion!
The price date is shown next to the current price. -
PERT Report PDF
If the report extends to more than one page, the headers should be repeated at the top of each page. Also, occasionally when I print a multi-page PERT Report, the last stock on the first page is split in half -- the top half is on one page, the bottom half of the row is on the top of the second page. The report needs to be generated in a way that will prevent this split.

Reports:
On the report PDFs: The Diversification Report file name includes the PORTFOLIO name. The Summary and PERT do not, but should (as should ALL report PDFs).
