  1. Allow outliers in quarterly trend graph

Using INGN as an example, it had the 3/15 quarter with 3000% EPS growth. Changing to Last 5 years, did not impact graph. Limit growth to 50% jshowed sales trend better but most of EPS cut off as it was above 50%. Current graph options are pretty meaningless for this stock. Having ability to quickly exclude that quarter would be helpful.

  2. Projecting the Future Stock Price

Add a second (or optional) calculation to the second page of the SSG to use the Price/Sales (P/S) ratio and the forecasted sales growth to calculate the forecasted stock price over 5 years. This will provide another metric to quantify the increase in the stock price.

  4. Make the data date show the quarter and year on the SSG yr over yr Qtr report like Toolkit used to do. Ex: 4th Qtr 2019

Currrently the Quarterly info box says for example MSFT FY 2020 Qtr ending (06/20). I think this would be the 4th quarter for them since their fiscal year ends in June. So is this 4th 2020 & they are already starting 2021?

  5. Change color of numerical data in Q & A data when changed by user.

We have the option of changing the quarterly and annual data when unusual circumstances exist. The checkmark in the last column notes that some data has been changed but does not note which data has been changed.

If the color of the data was changed to reflect that the data had been changed this would be quick and easy.

  6. "Quarterly Data" graphs: Add a "most recent 3 years" option.

"Quarterly Data" graphs: add a "most recent 3 years" option. This is especially important for fast growing, small companies. The first 2 high-performing years often skew the graph, making the recent years graph line appear almost flat. We always look at the pink Trailing 4 Quarters, Pre-Tax Profit % Change. Having a 3 year option would help us to visually see the recent change.

  9. Allow notes to use fonts and bullets

I would love to use Notes to add information, rationales and concerns on stocks but unfortunately the lack of fonts makes it hard to read. I use word but it would be great if I can keep the same info attached to the stock ssg..

  10. When comparing peers, need ability to remove years like you can with the Visual Analysis screen.

On the Visual Analysis page you have the ability to remove years for the stock you are studying. When you click on Compare Peers, that function to remove years is not available.

  12. In SCG, list the saved comparisons with newest at the top.

Quick Nav for SSG is newest at top, I believe the saved SCG should be newest at the top, not the bottom.

  13. Show the Assess Stock Price Graph when you click on quick view for a study

When clicking on quick view for a study, display the color coded 25/50/25% graph for assessing stock price (either instead of or in addition to the typical SSG chart with sales, stock price, and earnings).

  15. Match target return to company size automatically and also provide a way to override the values.

Instead of using a 15% target return for every stock, reduce the target return to the level appropriate to the company size. A medium size company would have a target return of 12%, etc. This might help newbies realize that 15% growth is not necessarily realistic for large companies. Also, could help get users looking at the return of their entire porfolio.

  16. Incorporate/Integrate Stock Research Form into SSG so judgments, and date automatically transfer

Incorporate /integrate Stock Research From with SSG so that the Stock Research Form is automatically populated by judgments you make on the SSG. This would be similar to what happens in Turbo Tax Software's Step-By-Step Program feature. It asks you questions and based on your answer the 1040 Form is filled in. For example, the highest /lowest and average PEs could easily be transferred to the Form after that judgment is made.

I am raising this because i find it cumbersome and inefficient to be switching back and forth between the SSG(internet) and the Stock Research Form(offline word document). If…

  18. Section 4b ..selection option of a, or b, or c, or d....can the selection be highlighted or bold?

Currently when I selected option d ( Price Dividend Support) as the low price. Is there someway to highlight the selection or grayout the others?

also, unable to change selection 4A, when we tried to change the high earnings shares (i.e, typed in $6.50 and clicked on update study....the entry changes to $6.40)....calculation error???

  19. outliner in section 3 column d and e - Price Earning Ratio outliners. Its looks like a blank cell.

    Outliner on section 3 columns
D and E Price Earning Ratio.
In Adobe Reader, you can see a faint number in the cell if it is a outliner, but when you print, it looks like a blank cell. I looked again in bright sunlight and I can see then it was not a blank cell. I think the color need to be 1 or 2 shades of gray brighter, or can we have a outliner line across the cell with the P/E data. It took extra time to go back to find the number during our club discussion.
