How can we improve our Stock Selection Guide Tools?

  1. Auto-update prices in a portfolio or the whole account

    Add a feature that keeps the studies in a portfolio up-to-date with price updates. This would be a setting. Once set, would the system update the studies daily without user intervention.

  2. Make columns selectable in portfolio summary report

    allow user to add/hide columns in the portfolio summary report and have them saved by user or (ideally) by portfolio

  3. Problem when Ticker Symbols & Stocks no longer appear in the All Studies but show up in a portfolio with no way to delete it

    Problem when Ticker Symbols/Stocks no longer appear in the All Studies due to no longer on Stock Exchanges but shows up in a portfolio with no way to delete it. Need way to delete it from a portfolio.

  4. Enable moving a study to a different portfolio

    It would be helpful if I could move SSGs from one portfolio (e.g., All Studies) to a different portfolio (e.g., Club Stocks or Club Ideas).

  6. Add an option to the FILE menu to allow for "Add to a Portfolio"

    When completing a study that we want to add to an existing portfolio or watch list, it would be helpful (and simpler) if the user could do that directly from the study, instead of having to return to the list of portfolios and then edit the portfolio to add the stock.

  7. Add the ability to import portfolio data from Folio Investing portfolios

    For those of us who use Folio Investing as a brokerage, having the ability to import portfolio data (portfolio name, security info, number of shares) would provide a convenient way to keep data between the BI Online Tools and Folio in sync and eliminate manual input of data.

  9. On the Portfolio and Studies page, add column: number of shares

    In the portfolio view on the Portfolio and Studies page, please consider adding a column showing the number of shares for a particular holding. It would make it much easier to replace old SSGs with new ones in an existing portfolio, and check your data, if you could easily see the number of shares for the old SSG. Toolkit does this via a special window.

  10. When developing reporting make sure it considers reports by portfolio

    Toolkit 6 has several good reports and they can be generated by portfolio. Please have SSGPlus have the same.

    Thank you for providing feedback at the BetterInvesting feedback forum! The suggestion ‘When developing reporting make sure it considers reports by portfolio’ is now closed as this is already a requirement for any future portfolio reports in the SSGPlus.   11. Add ability to assign stock study to a portfolio and add # shares etc while in study mode.

    Annoying to hjave to go into file manager to assign stock study to portfolio. Should have multiple access points within program to add this info.

  12. Add Feature to Portfolio Reports Screen: show the "Buy price to satisfy US/DS of 3 to 1 and 15% total return" shown in each SSG Plus study

    Could you add another column to the portfolio Reports screen that shows the following SSG Results Summary item called: "Buy price to satisfy US/DS of 3 to 1 and 15% total return:" This is generated on each SSG Result Summary table in part 5 of each SSG. You currently only show the "Buy Below" and "Sell Above" price in the Reports screen but it would be nice to know the 15% price of all the stocks shown in the portfolio reports screen. I would basically be using it as my pounce list or know when a current holding is at…

  13. Ability to create a portfolio only from the ticker symbol and not have to create an SSG first, then ability to see mini SSG like in Screener

    I'd like to be able to import a list of tickers, or just add a list of tickers manually into a portfolio. Then, have ability to see the section 1 graph like in the screener. (When in SSG graph preview, would like to scroll through all the stocks. Not close the graph, move to next stock to look at graph.) This would be helpful when I a get a list of "best stock ideas" from other places. Or as a volunteer if I am doing a club portfolio review.

  15. Is there a way to keep the screen from going out of the portfolio area after opening and closing a stock?

    When I am working on the portfolio or a SSG and I close it, my screen goes back to the entry page and I need to go back into the my studies and then back to the portfolio.

  19. Error in Adding long named file to Portfolio

    If a study is saved with a long file name adding it to a Portfolio is a problem. Cant easily get to the check box.

    To solve this the dialog box must be horizontally scrollable or the file name needs to be truncated or the dialog box needs to be resizable.

  20. Add the capability to import SSG studies that have been sent by another club member.

    The SSGPlus does not have the capability to import SSG studies that have been sent by another club member. You can export your files so others can view your stock studies, but the SSGPlus does not have the ability to import studies from others. The import capability should gohand-in-hand with the export capability.
